In 2009 alone, Datsik had over 7 number one releases on Beatport, and vinyl sales through the roof on many other sites such as Chemical Records, Red-Eye and Juno. Aside from that, he has also done remixes for some of the biggest names in the scene such as the Crystal Method, Freestylers, Bassnectar, Noisia, Diplo, the Wu-tang Clan, and Apex from the critically acclaimed Lifted Music label; not to mention countless collaborations with some of the hottest producers in the scene. With multiple anthems under his belt, countless plays from some of the biggest DJ’s, and an endless perseverance to reach that next step, it is safe to say that Datsik has proven himself to be one of the best dubstep artists around…

The third leg in a trilogy of hours that contain animations we made for our Under The Covers live DJ show, this one is decidedly more danceable. It mainly consists of recent releases and has a few exclusive unreleased tracks in there, with some classics thrown in for good measure. We start out with Saam Farahmand’s amazing trailer for RSWX called “Machine” which was a joy to play in front of big audiences if only to see people’s reactions on their faces, and continue onwards with what is possibly the most party-friendly show on RSWX yet.
This mix contains quite a few Belgian tracks, and only one animation that was made for a specific market, see if you can guess which one it is.

Concept: Soulwax and Fergadelic
Editor: Kurt Augustyns
Executive Producer: Glyn Peppiatt

Animation: Michael Zauner, Laurie Hill, Lewis Kyle White, Bill Porter, Nuno Costa, Daniel Brereton, Glyn Peppiatt, Olga Makarchuk, Reza Dolatabladi

Includes “Machine” Directed by Saam Farahmand

Which we did, on many different trips, and found the most incredible gems with the help of some of our brazilian friends.

Radio Soulwax Presents: As Heard On Radio Soulwax pt. 2 from Radio Soulwax on Vimeo.

We’ve decided to end this crazy beautiful experiment called RSWX with the album that started the whole trip and was the unexpected gift that kept on giving.
While we watched it from the sideline lead a life of its own, unintentionally capturing a zeitgeist and becoming that weird thing that is an underground hit via word of mouth, we had already continued on many other musical ventures and have never really looked back until now, but we’re glad we have, as it’s a fitting way to end this project based on sharing (a small part of) our record collection.

We’d like to thank everyone involved from the animators to the coders and everyone in between who worked their asses of to make this labour of love a reality, but of course especially the viewers (or listeners if you will). Your massive response and attention has almost bankrupted us in bandwidth costs but it was totally worth it!
So here it is: 12 yrs, 2 months and 24 days later, we have re-united 45 tracks in 1 single hour of visual mayhem. As Heard On the Radio Pt II becomes As Seen On the App..is this technically Pt III? Probably. Who’s counting? Who cares? Just watch it
